Tips to climb the corporate ladder faster
I just like to share some of my personal tips to everyone on how to grow in your career. I know I am not at the top of the ladder now, but everyone need a lil inspiration every now and then right? I am more than happy to share some tips that i believe worth sharing :)
Be detail oriented
Be detail oriented
Every organization need a detail oriented person.
Next time while doing your report don’t just focus on finishing it up the task.
Instead, take time to triple check your figure and spelling before clicking the
send button.
Take the lead
Try to offer help as much as possible, it will shows that
you are willing and ready to take up extra responsibilities. Don’t just be the
side kick, when the opportunities arise take up the lead and you will have the
opportunities to test your managing skill J Doesn't matter if it the birthday celebration or even a big gathering,
volunteer to organize it and your professional skills such as problem solving could
be noticed J
Accept your mistake and be honest
Human make mistake, don’t go around bounce the blame
and do the blaming game. Accept your
mistake and apologize. Be the bigger person. Focus on finding solution when any
problem arise.
Know your worth
Talk to your boss if you think you deserved a raise.
Document all of your achievement and during appraisal discuss it with him/her
on why do you think you deserved a better raise.
Networking
Built a good honest networking with everyone around you.
Not just bosses, workmate and even vendors. Having a healthy relationship will
not only make you feel happier but also will help you to perform your job better
