How’s your day today? Hope everything is great at your end. Today I would like to share with you a review about this FLAT TOP Foundation Brush by Colours Cosmetic which are officially launched today.. yes today!! Last couple of weeks, I received this Reviewer’s Edition that look like the picture below, cute huh?
Let’s have a closer look of this Flat Top Foundation Brush. Honestly, I cant have enough number of make-up brush. Sturdy cosmetics brushes are the key tool in applying your makeup. If you apply to much you will look like a clown and if you apply to little you will look pale and sickly. I personally feel that in order to have that flawless look, the correct application brush makes all the difference in the world!
FYI, this FLAT TOP Foundation Brush by Colours Cosmetic is a synthetic brush. Before I go further, let me share with you the difference between natural brushes and synthetic brushes.
Natural Brushes are made from animal hair. The bristles are usually goat hair, pony hair, badger, squirrel, etc. Each type of hair comes in various quality ranges. Natural are usually hand-shaped and glued. They range from being silky soft to rough and scratchy. This just depends on the quality of the bristles. Natural brushes do have a tendency to shed somewhat, depending upon the quality. No judging here, but I would personally support synthetic brush over natural brush due to my support towards animal friendly products.
On the other hand, synthetic Brushes are made using synthetic materials. These also range from cheap and rough-feeling to super nice, soft and silky bristles. Synthetic brushes do not have a tendency to shed, since they are synthetic, the bristles tend to melt into the ferrule, and "stick" together better. Which is a great plus point for this brush. Since it is 100% cruelty free product. If you are a Muslim like me, you don’t even have to worry what type of “fur” they are using as it is synthetic bristle. Basically, the choice is yours whether you like to use natural brushes or synthetic brushes.
There are several brushes out there in the market place and it can be confusing as to which one is right for you. Some brushes are very important for ease of application. Others are out there just to have you buy yet another brush to add to your collection and in the end you find yourself saying "Why did I buy this one?" I recommend that you keep your brushes separate from different minerals, example-foundation brush only used for your foundation minerals, veil brush only for your veil, bronzer brush only for bronzers, etc. This way you never have the wrong mineral on your brush, example-what if you are going to apply your foundation and you have blush on the brush now you have blush all over your face and who wants that????
I like how cute this Flat top brush is, not too big and not too long so can easily slot into my travel make up bag. Great thanks to its palm-size feature. The glossy wood handle make the brush look classy too? It reminds me of sigma brushes. For RM55 a piece this is totally worth way more than the cost. There are so many brushes out there which cost a fortune if you want top notch quality brushes. TRUST me on this.
