Assalamualaikum and Olla everyone!

Very recently we just went to Penang and spent a week at the beautiful island. Incase you are wondering of thing to do or activities to entertain your child then I would like to suggest Entopia Butterfly Park. We had a really good time at the park and would love to share our experience with you too! Hopefully it will help incase you are planning an ittinerary.

The place is known as Entopia Butterfly Farm and it is located at Teluk Bahang. If you stay at Hard Rock Hotel Penang near Batu Ferringhi, it is around 15 minutes away by car. You can actually take the Hop Tour Bus but since we do not take the daily pass we decided to took an uber. It cost us RM12 to uber from Hard Rock Hotel to the location. Tips : Since the location of the Butterfly Farm is quite rural, is not easy to uber out from there. It is advisable to walk across the gate and there is a taxi stand. The taxi ride back to hotel cost us RM15 which is acceptable since the uncle also bring us around for a pit stop at upside down house. He was sharing if we want to check it out, but we are quite tired after visiting the park so we decided to skip. Anyway, below is the map for the location.

Entopia Butterfly Farm open everyday from 9am to 5.30pm, here is the contact number incase you need them Phone: +60 4-888 8111. The Entry fee is RM49 but if you are local with Malaysian IC then you will be entitled to a discounted fee of RM39. Child below 4 years old gain free entry. To be honest, I think the fee is very worth it because the whole place is big and there are many animals well keep not only butterfly. The place is also very clean and well maintained.

We came visited the park at around 2pm because we like to skip the harsh sun in the noon. Turn out to be a good idea. It will take around 2-3 hours to visit the whole park. However, if you like to spend longer hours then do come in the morning.

Our daughter had a good time testing out her new gear the Nikon Cool Pix 100 taking pictures of butterfly and so also flowers. The place is also stroller friendly, if you are wondering. Part of the the park is indoor and part of it is outdoor. I would suggest you to check weather forecast to avoid disapointment as the butterfly area are mainly outdoor.

Overall we had a really good time at Entopia Butterfly Park and believe it is time and money well spent. There are many species of insect, also other animals such as duck and even earth worms located in the farm. We get to learn so much while creating memories and bonding with your little girl. Would totally recommend anyone to visit this park if you happen to visit Penang.

If you are hungry, there is also a restaurant inside the park that serve  real food ( THANK GOD, no fast food) the price is affordable and the taste is good too. Forgot the name of the restaurant but dont worry you wont miss them as it is the only restaurant in the location. They also serve juice and mineral water if you are thirsty.
