Assalamualaikum and Olla everyone!

Let me start this post by confessing that i have a sweeth tooth and I think it have been pass on to my daughter. She cant stop smilling the moment I told her that I am going to host a DIY tea part for her and her 2 bear friends LOL

I like to entertain my kids my spending quality time with her. Since she always invited me for a tea party. You know the type with plastic cup and non-edible cookies, why not I throw her a real tea party? haha.. Like any tea party, the most important thing is to came up with a theme, then the tabble setting as well as the yummy dessert! A night before our actual tea party, I did a test run on what kind of dessert to be served the next day. Decided to make our own Fruit Tart and Trifle so we can have a food test before the actual event. My daughterobviously more than happy to be my food critic.

Today, I will be sharing with you a simple recipe on how to make your own Super Easy + Yummy,  Fruit Tart and Trifle. Let’s jump into it right away!

That’s the fruit tart that was served on the next day during our high tea session. Not only it look chic, it is also super easy that it can be done with a snap of your finger. It is also a cook activity to make it with your kids. Sofea had a good fun helping me to arrange the fruits ( put aside – most of it goes into her tummy before landing on the mini croustades ). It is actually an enjoyable session making it with my daughter.

Since we are approaching year end, I’m pretty sure you might get invited to party or even will be hosting one. I think the fruit tart would be such a great idea for pot luck. All the best!

KARKOR HALLON Biscuit with Rasberry Filling and  by Ikea Food Market

1) Put the KARKOR HALLON Biscuit with Rasberry Filling and  by Ikea Food Market into ISTAD Plastic Bag. Then crush it. It  is way manageble to crush the biscuti in the ISTAD plastic bag because it wont mess up your kitchen. The crumbs will be safely inside the bag, like so. Get your kids to help during the crushing, my daughter enjoyed smacking it LOL

There is no specific instruction or how to to make the trifle. All you need to do is just to layer fruits, whipping cream and also the crushed biscuit in no particular order. you can even put in jelly, or ice cream or peanut or kiwi or anything your heart content. Just layer them in a glass jar. Here I’m using the IKEA 365+ Wine glass, clear glass. I like that it have the sleek look and that the opening  big enough for my liking. Like the fruit tart, this trifle can be done with the help of your little one.

Being a working mum, I dont have the luxury to spend time with my daughter as much as I wanted too.. Plus, now that I am currently pregnant with my second child, there is a small spot in my heart filled with guilt. My biggest worry is worry about not being able to give my older children enough time or attention after the arrival of a new baby. I do understand that the early stages of child growth are the most crucial in developing their personality, and also mental health.

Hoping that by spending quality time with her at the kicthen, making the dessert together and also by hosting a DIY Tea party.. it could somehow make it up to my non-presence. My heart melts into a puddle on the floor when she smiled and laugh during our high tea session.
