Last weekend, my husband and I decided to spend out night at PullMan Lakeside Hotel at Putrajaya. We actually book this place like 3 weeks earlier to enjoy the early bird promo rate. The main reason we decided to go to Pullman is because we need mini gateway. We wanted the feeling of going holiday out of our normal daily routine just want to relax our body and mind.. However, we dont want to travel that far and just like to spend our weekend in a relaxing atmosphere.

Since I am currently almost 4 months pregnant, I cant really play water sport or not really advised to take plane rides this is the best option for us to unwind. As I arrived around 2pm my hubby drop me and I proceed straight to the receptions while my husband go to get a parking ( it was very easy to get parking as claimed by him). I am amazed by the Hotel exterior design however, I honestly believe it would be great if they have numbering system during check in or atleast skip their lengthy check in process.I am quite surprised when we have to stand (yes stand) and que for more than 30 minutes and bear in mind I was the second person queuing. Seriously? Half an hour to process 1 person for check in??

FYI, there is 4 type of building with 4 different type of room concept, they have the malay room, the indian style of room, chinese style and also the spa style. Out of 4 types only 2 have bath tub which is the indian one and the spa one. We have send an email to request for a room with a bath tub and was given a confirmation email on our request. To my surprise ( okay la.. not so surprised anymore once I am there experiencing the chaotic-ness of the check in process)  when my turn comes, I asked are we assigned to a room with bath tub? The front desk was blur and said no indication in our booking profile and so n so.. long story short, we have to wait another 30 minutes and finally given with a room key (okay the 30 minutes que – ing and another 30 minutes waiting = 1 hour to check in)

To be fair their bell boy was very2 helpful and the front desk too, she is actually trying her best to help us out. Mayb just lack of training n miscommunication and lack or experience dealing with check in process. So our promo room rate was Rm 266++ and another RM200 deposit. (If you are using credit card they will block rm500 from your card and give back the balance once your check out).

During the 30 minutes wait for our room to be ready, we wonder around and check out their swimming pool. It was located at 2nd floor and honestly abit tooo small compared to the other 5 stars hotel I have been too.. Well, come to think about it, their main attraction is their lake not their swimming pool.

We got the Spa type of room, which located same building as their spa and boy the 1 hour wait was worth it! For Rm 266++ per night, this is totally worth it mannnnn.. Big room, comfy bed and the bath tub is actually located at living room. (When we go to hotel, I will spend quite a great deal of time in their bath tub and make believe that I am a princess hahaha.. how kesian..) normally bath tub is located in the toilet and when ever I spend time in there, my hubby will watch tv or make coffee while checking out the palce or read his email n stuff. Since this bath tub is located at the living room, I could still enjoy husband company chat with him while doing my stuff hahaha..

Since we got the Spa room, it is not a normal bath tub it comes with jacuzzi funtion! Hubby was tempted and decided to jump in ( alamak too much info hahaha)

I would say that my husband and I were very happy with our room it really suite the spa n fit style and we quite surprise that the room comes with yoga matt and dumbbell. I mean ya ofcos we didn't utilized it but we just found that it is very thoughtful. For the price we pay the room is totally worth it.

Before we go to Pullman we did some research and found out that they have a weekend bbq grill buffet and quite fascinated to try It out. Then we decided to give it a try as well. It cost us RM 89.90 per person + 16% tax so around RM 104.28nett per person. The buffet start at 7pm and we came slightly early around 6.30pm to enjoy the sunset by the lake and ordered a mocktail which cost us RM 20 + 16% each. So in total we paid RM 254.96 and for the level of food we had, hurm.. I am not really sure if it is worth it. Johan and I were saying that, might as well we go off for fancy restaurant and order ala carte instead.

The only plus point is that the restaurant is at the lake and the scenery is nice, if you willing to spend for scenery instead of food then you can give it a try.

Great news their breakfast is so yummy! held at B’s Restaurant and all I can say is great selections of food and way yummier than the one we had the night before at Tanjung Village Restaurant. They have different room rate if you opt for breakfast and it could be cheaper if you do not want their breakfast, I would say go for it.

Will I ever come back? Yes to experience other types of rooms since they have 4 of it. What about you? Have you stayed here before? What do you like about this hotel? For more info, you may check out their website at http://www.pullmanhotels.com

  3. Tengah survey pasal weekend bbq dekat the village tu. 60% org ckp the food not worth n limited food, 40% yg satisfied n ckp byk selection of food.. maybe nasib jugak kot. Tp tertarik dgn scenery dekat lake tu.. soooo... tgh pk.. nak lake view ke or cari tmpt lain with nice sky view... hmm dilema nak sambut birthday loved ones. Hehe
