Why you would love Betadine

If you are wondering how NASA prevents a space plague outbreak then, I have the answer for you. After their rocket went to the outer space and came back to earth, Betadine was the trusted brand used to sterilize any dust and to kills germs. Interesting right? Last week, I was invited to attend the official launching and roadshow by Betadine that was hosted at One Utama Mall in collaboration with Watson Malaysia. At the event, there are few stations where we get to try out some exciting activities to understand Betadine range closer.

There is also a sink provided so public can have a literally “hands-on” experience. I washed my hands couple of times just to try out the products on that day.

Betadine came out with three variant which is the Nourishing Manuka Honey Rejuvenating Honey Fragrance, Purifying Tea Tree Fragrance, and also Refreshing Pomegranate, Be Revitalized with Fruity Pomegranate Fragrance.

Nourishing Manuka Honey Rejuvenating Honey Fragrance. There are three sizes of body wash for Manuka honey range which come in500ml, 200ml and also 90ml. You may also get 225ml and 50ml Manuka Honey hand wash. I think the 50ml is a perfect size for travel companion. You can just slot in your handbag and use it anywhere at any time. It is super handy especially when you have kids.

Purifying Tea Tree Fragrance comes in two sizes for Body wash you can get the 500ml bottle and for the hand wash you purchase the 225ml.

As for the Refreshing Pomegranate, Be Revitalized with Fruity Pomegranate Fragrance. You may only enjoy the body wash for now come in two size 500ml and 200ml. Maybe they will come out with a hand wash version in the future. I actually hope so because this is my favourite scents out of all. Also because I’m biased towards anything in pink hahaha

At the event, I learned about some of harmful chemicals we should avoid thanks to the expert input by consultant dermatologist Dr. Ch’ng Chin Chwen, and Head of Consumer Health at Mundipharma Ms. Amy Zheng. I also learned that Betadine is specially formulated with a skin-friendly formulation, which means it is gentle to our skin as its pH balanced at 4.5 pH. Ideally skin pH should be around 4 - 5.5 pH. in contrast, most soap in the market has a pH value of between 7-12 which is alkaline in nature and tends to strip away the natural skin barrier hence making our skin dry.

Apart from their claim to be able to kills min 99% of germs, it is also very good to know that they use natural ingredients. You know I am always a fan of anything natural. I mean at the end of the day, I am stricter about counting my chemicals intake then my calorie intake.

I felt some sense of relief when I found out that Betadine are free for 8 undesirable chemicals like Parabens, Formaldehyde, Dioxane and the rest. I mean being a mum, I am the one usually in charge of deciding which products to use to protect my family  and I definitely trusted Betadine as a daily protection after getting to know their products in depth.

The new Betadine Natural Defense product is also dermatologist tested, and enriched with organic Aloe Vera and Vitamin E, which helps moisturize skin to be healthy looking.

As a personal experience, I love all the scents! Very natural and it makes me keep smelling my hands hahaha.. The body wash is in gel texture and I find them very easy to rinse as well. You just need to pump it on a loofah then then put it all over your skin. You may also directly use it to the skin.
