Mary Kay Microdermabrasion Set Review
Assalamualaikum and Olla everyone!
Hope it is not to late for me to wish you my muslim friends Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha. To those non muslim friend, hope you have a good time and rest. Today, I am back with a new skincare review! So exciting, because it is actually my very first time trying out Mary Kay product.
To be completely honest, I heard about Mary Kay before from reading reviews oftheir product and I must say that I always curious if it live up to its claim. This time around, I was given a chance to try out Mary Kay Microdermabrasion set which come in this set of 2 products. The name of this range is TimeWise.
The first product is this Microdermabrasion refine which come in a 70g tube. To me it is more like a super fine microdermabrasion scrub. The one I got is tailored for those who have Dry to Oily Skin. The first impression was so cute! Their packaging is in light pink. I’m sorry I just have a lil bit of bias when it comes to pink and stuff.. hahaha but then again let’s talk about the texture and what make this skincare worth the try.
If you can see from the picture above, the product is in white colour and contain tiny particles which helps with the microdermabrasion process. If you are wondering microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure that uses microcrystals to remove the outermost layer of dry, dead skin cells and reveal younger, healthier-looking skin. More like a scrub and since the particle are so refine it is safe to use it on your skin for frequent use.
I think it is common knowledge that our skin regenerate itself. Also, we lose 30,000 - 40,000 skin cells per minute or 1.8 million to 2.4 million skin per hour. Over a four to five week period, the approximate time to replace this layer of skin, there are about 744 hrs. (31 days X 24 hrs/day). That is quite a lot right? Hahaha .. My point here is, it is important for us to ensure that our skin is clean from all the dead skin so we could reveal our beautiful skin.
It is advisable to use this product right after your cleanser. First, you may clean your face as usual, then squeeze a tear drop amount of product onto your palm. Apply it on a wet face, then massage your face in circular motion. I like to start from the center of my face moving outwards. Then, rinse off with warm water and pat dry. Twice a week is a good regime.
The second product that was sent to me was this Pore Minimizer. I personally use this Pore Minimizer like a serum. This product is light weight and smell so botanical. It reminds me of a bunch of fresh flowers actually. If you look closely there is a hint of pink shade in this product and I believe it help to make your complexion to look rosy and sweet.
This 29ml bottle actually contain persian silk tree bark extract and soybean extract, sea whip extract and evodia fruit extract. All these ingredients combine force to help reduces the visible signs of tired skin. On top of preventing the generation of toxins which can lead to a dull complexion and helps skin to repair. How awesome is that?
Allow me to share what others who have tried have to say about this. Microdermabrasion Plus Set in an independent consumer study.* Here’s what else they shared:
· Skin looks instantly younger – 77% Dramatically improves skin’s appearance – 87%
· Visibly improves the look of fine lines – 79%
· Significantly shrinks the look of pores – 82%
*Results reflect the percentage of women who agreed with the statements during an independent consumer study in which 229 panelists used the two products as a set 2 to 3 times a week for seven days.
For me personally, I like how it instantly make my skin felt super smooth and how it improve my skin complexion. I tried it for 2 weeks and even if I have to spend my own money on it, I would say it is worthy investment. So ya.. that conclude this post and hope you find it helpful and insightful. Ending this post with my Aidil Adha picture with my in laws. Yup, tried the product and just in time to enjoy a beautiful skin for raya! hehe
