Olla everyone, thanks for dropping by at my blog. Well, today I would like to introduce you to Mary Quant. Have you heard of Mary Quant before? Allow me to share with you about Mary Quant. Mary Quant is a fashion creator who is famous for inventing the miniskirt. Her think-outside-the-box approach and outrageous fashion sense and designs caused a revolution, not only in her own country, the United Kingdom, but also worldwide. Mary Quant is born on 1934. Guess how old is she now?

Great thanks to Manoah for giving me the opportunity to attend the workshop and allowing me to learn more about Mary Quant product. It is a nice experience playing with all the make up. Not just that, it is nice to learn some tips from Ms. Takaki during the demonstration session. Do you know that Ms. Takaki flew all the way from Japan to teach us today? 

Here is the picture of the model once the transformation is completed. Very natural looking and sweet. Suitable for day make up and you may use this look for a nice shopping trip with you girl friends or you can even try this look for if you are going to office or class.

 

Interesting and vibrant colour range they got there. I personally like the “Outliner” which come in 19 colours and it is actually contain a little bit of glitter in it. This pencil is versatile as you may use it as lip liner or an eyeliner. Sweet huh?

Next, product that caught my attention is the “Oil Zap”, it is actually a make up base. What makes it stand out is that I like the texture as it is not creamy. It is like a mixture of gel n cream kind of texture. I like the finish result once I try it on my skin. It gave those matte and it looks as if you are wearing powder on top. My hand skin felt satin smooth (ya.. I tried most of the product on my hand) and I like the texture. It is also nice to know that it contained sebum control ingredients as it will help control oil secretion and make your make up last longer.

THE SMURFS–Flavored Lip Balm (Review & Give Away)

Have you watch Smurfs? Aren’t they adorable? Well, today I am going to share with you that The Smurfs have a LIP BALM…. Gosh isn’t that cute already? If you check out the pictures above, you can see clearly how cute the packaging. To open it, you will need to tear off the seal and you can easily find the seal since it is actually a sticker written with “ sealed for protection” once tear off, you may twist the below portion of the lip balm.. and Voila.. there you go.

As for the product experience, I like that it actually a scented lip balm and a hint smell of the strawberry scent once you open the cap. I was actually expecting a blue non-tinted lip balm and I was surprised that it is in a very light red more to orange kind of shade. Once I put it on my lip it gave a very2 minimum sheer. This lip balm is formulated to give your lips the moisture it needs. Okay.. I know this is not really advisable but hey.. it smells so yummy that I was tempted to taste it. Haha.. It tasted SWEET. Okay let me get this straight, the lip balm does not tasted like strawberry but it does tasted sweet.

Winner Ladder– (Review & Buying Experience)

Today I am going to share with you something that is very handy… like ladder. I mean ladder and many other house tools have always been under rated by me. I will only notice the importance when ever I really need one. However, if you ask me, ladder is very2 crucial for a horizontal challenged like myself.

I mean, ladder could make lots of our chores way easier and safe. For example, lets say we want to clean our air-cond filter, or change a curtains, or change a bulb or even trying to clean up high area like on top of a fridge. So having a ladder at home is very2 convenient.

The only things that have been delaying me from buying a ladder is that, it is so HUGE. How do i fit in into my car? It would be so troublesome just to bring it home right? 1.       TanglePruf™ HingeAll locally made stepladders locate the ladder hinge on the outside of the ladder body, making it very prone to damage through entanglement with other objects. It is a very common failure on a lot of stepladders. A ladder with a damaged hinge is dangerous to use for obvious reasons. We redesigned ours to locate it on the inside, making it almost impossible to be damaged accidentally. This feature is only found on a handful of imported ladders.

2.       Heavy-duty steps

3.       Tool tray
We incorporated a tool tray into the top ‘step’ of our double-sided ladders for additional utility, and to discourage the extremely dangerous practice of standing on the top of the ladder. This feature is not found in almost all locally made ladders.All of these value-added features unique to us are provided to consumers without any additional cost, our double-sided ladders are selling at regular market rate. Which is super great value for consumers. Heavy duty stepladders are selling at about twice the price but these are often heavier due to thicker profiles and are not commonly used even among the light trade industry due to price and weight.

Interesting TV Series

Dear all,

Since the weekend is here, I would like to share some of my current favourite TV series that I am currently watching and following. I just taught that it might help to inspire or maybe give you some ideas on what to watch next :) 

1) SUITS - My current favourite of all. Story line is so stylo. Okay.. let me confess something here.. I really have a thing about guy in suits. MAN so stylooooooooooo.. so masculine.. but the tv series is not really focusing on that actually. The story is about this guy name Mike ( freaking smart, he remember every little thing ) and his handsome boss ( high ego yet very2 reliable professional) story about lawyer and stuff. If you are into fast pace and witty conversation, this tv series is for you! 

2) Two Broke Girl  - This is my second favourite, because it just so cute and funny. I like how the TV series take into consideration of real life situation. The story is about Max, who comes from a poor working-class family, and  Caroline, who was born rich but is now down on her luck, working together at a Brooklyn restaurant (as waitress). Each episode ends with a running tally of the money earned out of the $250,000 the girls need to open a cupcake business, whether it increases or decreases.

Most of the time, they run out of fund due to adhoc situations. This series teach me to be humble and know where we come from and try out best to struggle in life no matter what. 

So thats my two current favourite TV Series, that I taught might be interesting for you to watch too :) Enjoy your weekend and hope that you have a fun and quality time with love ones, family and friends!

Fizzing Cube, Body Wash and Bath Oil by Sephora - Review

Olla ladies, today I would like to share with you a simple review. My current sweet heart for bath and body products. Well, if you go into Sephora outlets, you will definitely bump into these cutie right? Well, I decided to purchase a few and give it a shot. 

The first row are the fizzing cubes, these works just like those bath bomb. The only difference is it is shaped like a cube. Please do not mistaken it for a soap ya. When I got it, I doubt the effect as it is so cute and tiny and I assume that it might need few cubes for each application. Surprisingly, one cube is enough to turn your bath tub into milky coloured and it smells so yummy. I tried the Coconut fizzing cube earlier and it reacts exactly like a bath bomb when you drop it into the water. It does not create bubbles but it will turn your bath water into milky creamy colour as if you were talking milk bath (if you use the coconut fizzing cube) and it smells yummy. The coconut smells reminded me of tropical island vacations.. so relaxing!

The second row are the Body Wash tubes, each tube (can I call it a tube?, it looks like a hemisphere shape container) contained 7.9ml (you can see clearer picture below) and just like the fizzing cube, due to the tiny packaging, I also doubt whether it will be sufficient for one application. Well, another surprise… When I squeeze it into my bathing sponge, it lather quite well and this one does create bubbles.. So I would recommend to use the fizzing cube in your bath tub and on top of it for extra pampering (and if you still want bubbles) you may use this body wash with a sponge for the extra Umphhh.

The last row are the Bath oils, okay.. honestly I am not very familiar with bath oil usage. I decided to give it a try and grab some since the packaging is so adorable and it smells so nice!!! Well, how can a girl say no to those Caramel smelling duck shape capsules and friends right?  I use this stuff right after my bathing session and lather it to my skin for extra moisturizing effect. It is very thick in terms of consistency. Will I repurchase the bath oil? hum.. not really.. As I don't really like lathering sticky oil on my body. Well, if you are into extra moisturizing, this bath oil is for you.

These range have 13 option for you to pick from Blueberry, Coconut, Mango, Cotton Flower (my fav), blue lagoon, strawberry, toffee, chocolate, vanilla, orange blossom and many more.. The fizzing cube is currently retailed at RM 5 per pcs as well as the Body Wash. While the bath oil is currently retailed at RM2 per pcs.

It is very affordable and come in a handy packaging. A definitely travel friendly products as you could just grab a few and enjoy different2 body products scent while you are on vacations or even business trips. As for me, I kinda like it as it is cute, smell nice, affordable and did not take much space in my bath room. I just put all of them in a transparent bowl and it looks cute as decor on your vanity table as well especially those bath oils. Imagine you want to enjoy a nice relaxing body soaking moment in a tub during vacation, you dont need to bring jumbo bath bomb (it take up space and tends to pecah2) just bring those fizzing cube in your pocket and you are good to go!

WEVents 3rd Anniversary Dinner 2013

Thank you so much to WEVents for organising such a fun and creative anniversary night last weekend.  It was such a fun night! It was a memorable night indeed.

All WEVents are planned by Jeanisha Wan and her company, J1 Consulting and organized with the help of a working committee and other supporting working women volunteers. (Just like The Butterfly Projects, where people come together and voluntarily plan events for community members   *Wink*Wink*)

WEVents was conceptualized by Jeanisha as a social event for women by women entrepreneurs (WEs) during a casual email exchanged with a fellow woman entrepreneur.  Both realized they have spent almost half of their lifetime either working for or servicing companies on events but there were few social events for women, by women.

WEVents was born with the objective of allowing women to have an outlet (vent) after office hours, get to meet new friends and catch up with peers.All the people working behind WEVents are WEs who freely volunteer their time or provide sponsorship in terms of products or services towards the events. Just so women can relax, enjoy themselves in an event they can truly call their own.

Posh Spa is one of the sponsors, where they sponsor manicure services for the ladies at the events and they also provide prizes for lucky draws.

Check out Yummy Fruit Tart they they served during the event. It looks so yummy right? They are also other range of food such as noodle, fish fritters, hot dogs, cakes and desserts prepared by Armanda Hotel.

Thats Winnie Loo giving a welcome speech for all the attendees. She told us that we are all SuperWoman and must not only work hard, we also need to relax and mingle around once in a while to re-motivate ourself. I found it totally right! We must not only work hard, we also need to play hard



Mimi Teh, the founder of Bag-Of-Love dressed as Audrey Hepburn and she looks very lovely that night. She shared with us her background and what makes her decided to venture into beauty business.



We are also entertained by the talent competition happening on that night. There are ladies who sings so lovely, dance beautifully and the best part all of us had so much fun!

Edazz is the WInner that night and she dressed as catwoman that night. She performed and sing beautifully and she well deserved the prizes   Grand Prize sponsored by Fujitsu, OnlyBeauty, Posh! Nail Spa, A Cut Above Group of Salons, TT Mask and Bag of Love worth a total of RM3,287.  Also, congratulations to the Runners-up, Susee Rajaram as Mother Theresa and Yong Choy Peng as Super Girl.

It was really my lucky day, not only I able to hangout with all the beautiful talented ladies.. I also was called duirng the lucky draw session So happy! I won myself a Le Ann Maxima cash vouchers and cant wait to utilise it Thank you so much WEVents.
