Lost World of Tambun - Theme Park Experience

Sep 30, 2013

As promised, here is my second post for The Lost World of Tambun (my first post click here) and in this post I am going to share about the Theme Park! weeehooo! When we arrived, we gather at the main entrance for a group photo before we go into the Theme Park. I love the group photo, it looks so fun and cheerful.

That is me rocking n head-banging since I am so happy!

We were escorted to the Kepura Cave. Do you know what makes this Kepura Cave so interesting?? Well, it is an actual cave (not man made!!) and they turned it into a dining hall. Isnt that amazing? There are actual stalagmites and stalactites in the cave. With all the lighting, it looks so surreal. My first experience having lunch in such a beautiful and unique atmosphere.  What a memorable experience!

Once we got our tummy full, we hop on a train for an interactive tour! Check out the happy faces.

Our first stop is at the Petting Zoo. I had such a fun time there. Acucu (their raccoon) is super cute and tame. We experience giving food to birds, and I love the open zoo concept since it is so interactive. Those who have the guts, you may snap picture with snakes ( I have to skip this, I am terrified of reptiles).  Nonetheless, I had so much fun snapping pictures with blogger friends and checking out the petting zoo.

The animals are super cute and well trained. If you have kids or younger siblings or even cousins or nieces/nephew, this would be a great place to bring them to experience close contact with animals. Even if you are a couple and bored with checking out shopping malls on every other weekends, I would suggest you to just drive out or take a train to Ipoh and spend you weekend at The Lost World of Tambun and enjoy what they have to offer in their 100,000 square feet Petting Zoo. Who may play with rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises, African Dwarf Goats and Dee. Not just that their aviary houses over 500 birds from 18 species with all-time favorites such as cockatoos, mandarin ducks and peacocks.

After the Petting Zoo, we visited the Tin Valley where we experience live demo and have a hands on on the “mendulang” activity. History flash….. do you know that Ipoh is known as Tin Ore City last time? The state's administrative capital of Ipoh was known historically for tin-mining activities!

The fun does not stops there, after the “mendulang” activities we went to Dulang Tea House for tea time. We had “Kopi” of coz laa.. Ipoh also famously known for their coffee hehehehe.. then we had some eggs and yummy buttered bread.

Once we had our tummy filled (once again hehehee.. Arigato!) we were then divided into 6 groups for our next activity. The treasure hunt.. Woot! woot! Honestly, with all the adrenaline rush (because of being happy n well feed) and stuff (and age factor ahem.. ahem..) I am tired but it is not like everyday I got to run around like headless chicken with friends in a themepark right?  hahahaha So I decided so just the fun.

Each team were given with clues and some questions, once they arrived at the locations they need to snap a group photos. The fun part was trying to locate all the main attractions signboard. My whole team end up running and laughing all the way.. We were obviously tired but we had so much fun! To me it was worth it.

That’s us, running around looking for clues and snapping pictures!

Check out our group pictures. hehehe, can you see how in rush we were? (senget2 and pictures of only forehead, hurry + funny post and stuff.. hahahaa)  We put lots of effort and I love than my whole team is super sporting!  We have Maple, Cik Lily, Kay, Anis and Jeniffer fur fur in my team.  We didnt win, but we had such a GREAT time. Congrats to the winning team!

Next, we were lead to Lost World of Tambun Hotels to check in (check out my entry about their hotel here) and once check in we had our free and easy time to enjoy the park. Tammy and I rent the floating stuff ( I think it is called floating tube/riders ) and we enjoy the longest man made river in Malaysia 660 meter okay… Next we enjoyed swimming before we go for a roller coaster ride and giving food to swan (YES! they have swans the white and the black one super cute!) and then we got to watch the big cat feeding session. When I say big, it is BIG. I forgot the name of the cats but it looks like a dog I mean in terms of size and their fur is just so pretty.

Then we walked back to our hotel to change and relax before enjoying our dinner (yummy bbq) and our Hot Springs & Spa session. I will share the more about the awesome Hot Springs & Spa and our yummy dinner in my next entry. Please stay tune and thank you for taking time reading my experience.

Well, you to could go and experience it for yourself, bring your love ones, family members or friends to enjoy the fun together!  The entry charges for the park is RM 48 for adult, RM 41 for children and children below 90cm in height get to come in free of charge.  If you would like to go in a group, they have a Group package with minimum number of 30 persons and you may contact them for more info.

PMD PRO in Wish List of Beauty Tools

Sep 26, 2013

Have you heard of PMD Pro before? PMD Pro is a machine which help to exfoliation process also know as microdermabrasion tools. I first learn to know about it couple years back when I was watching night beauty routine videos on YouTube and many of the beauty gurus use this tools including Dulce Candy. I cant help but being super curious about it. They said that this machine helps  them to achieve better complexion and it also enhance the process to uncovers fresh, luminous skin.

What happen is that the PMD Pro’s spinning disc (yup the small stuff there is actually a spinning disc) is covered with the same Aluminum Oxide crystals that are used by professionals. As the disc spins, vacuum suction removes dull, dead cells, leaving skin clear and vibrant. With the dead cells removed, your skin is able to absorb products much more effectively.

This device provides customizable, controlled intensity with 4 different levels of exfoliating discs and 2 speeds: a standard speed that provides the highest level of intensity and a slower speed that provides a lower level of intensity for sensitive skin types.

I have been trying to locate where to buy it in Malaysia but it is quite challenging. I can only find it in ebay and other online buying website. I saw it on ebay for USD 199 (which is quite pricey!) anyhow, I will definitely get my hand on it one day.. ONE FINE DAY!

Do you own this device? where do you get it from and for how much? What do you think is it worth the shot?

Lost World of Tambun Hotel (Review)

Have you been to Lost World of Tambun before? and have you stayed at their hotel? Well, this hotel belong to Sunway Group and I am very happy to be invited by Lost World of Tambun to come and experience their hotel. I went with 29 other bloggers from The butterfly Projects for a 2 Day and 1 night stay at Lost world of Tambun Hotel. The moment when Tammy said “ We are going to Tambun!” I am super duper happy because I never been there and this would be the first time I’ll be travelling to Tambun! I mean I do travel to Ipoh once in awhile and saw the signboard and stuff but I didnt really get the chance to go and visit the place. Weehoo!!!

That's us dancing, since we were so happy! hahahaa

Before I share about the Hotel, I would also like to share on how do I got there! All of us went there by ETS, yippie yeay! I do recall being on a train with my dad when I was a small kid, even it is just a one time trip with  my dad last time, it still  bring back so much memories. Check out our pictures before and during the trip.

We had a smooth journey and so happy that everyone able to make it on time on that day. I like the fact that travelling via train is way safer, convenient and cost efficient. Do you know that the cost from KL sentral to Ipoh Train station is only RM35 one way on a Gold Coach? So return ticket cost around RM70 per person. Isnt that just aweseome?   The whole journey takes 2 hours. We go off from KL Sentral at about 8.05am and reach around 10plus (okay when we reached I didnt really check out my watch since I was soo happy! hahahhaa).  Great Thanks to ETS for sponsoring the ride.

When we reached Ipoh Train Station we were greeted by Firdaus and Syawal from The Lost World of Tambun. Yup, thats Fridaus on the left (both in red shirt) and Syawal on the right (holding the sign). Then right after, we were lead to the bus. It takes u around 20 minutes from the train station to The Lost World of Tambun.

There will be 3 post for this whole Journey experience and this is the first post. In this first post, I’ll be focusing on The Lost World of Tambun Hotel before sharing with you about the Theme Park and The Hot springs & Spa! When we checked in, Tammy, Ayna and me will be sharing our room. Guess what? It is the Super Suite!!!

I am very happy that I puke rainbows! hahaahahahha

Allow me to give you a Super Suite Room tour, this room contained 1 king-sized bed, Sofa bed, 2 bathrooms ,Theme park view, Fridge (full size), Basic tea and coffee making facilities ,Basic hotel room facilities obviously comes with Air-conditioned and a Free Wi-Fi (pretty fast okay the wifi, I have a fun time utilising it hahaha) and the whole room occupies around 47 sq metres.

Check out our comfy bed. 3 of us “slim ladies” slept on this bed comfortably and we still have some space for Ayna to perform gymnastic hahaha (please dont kill me after you read this). I slept on the left, Ayna was at the middle and Tammy occupy the right side.

Check out the HUGE living room that occupies sofa and TV. P/s: The provide 2 TV, one at the living room and another one in the master bed room. So you don't have to fight which channel to watch hahahahaha.

Here is the rest room. Sweet and simple in my opinion. ( I was hoping for a bath tub, but dont worry they have nice Hot springs at the Theme Park so you dont really miss the bath tub) Yes, the chubby lady in the mirror is me.

What makes this Super Suite special in my opinion is that they have this dry kitchen with a mini bar section.

They also provide dining table with 6 seats and basic kitchen facilities. I like it that they also provide microwave and I found it thoughtful.

If you are interested, below are their published rates as per Sept 2013. (Well, I dont know when will you read this post. Things that are on internet will stay there forever and let say you bump into my post on 2025 and found that the rates are different.. please dont go emailing me and asking why it is different now k?) I would highly recommend for you to check directly at Lost World of Tambun' Hotel’s website for the latest rates. As for now, here are the published rates

Acpuris Journey–2nd Post

Sep 23, 2013

Olla everyone! Well, here is my second Acpuris journey post. I do see the different know as it have been 24 days after I first try the products, but I am saving the best for the last post! Stay tune if you would like to see the before and after picture. There will be 4 post in this Acpuris journey and on this blogpost I would like to share with you some info about Acne/Pimples. So first of all, allow me to share about types of pimples before we go futher.

Whiteheads - also known as a closed comedo. These are very small and remain under the skin, appearing as a small, flesh-colored papules.

Blackheads - also known as an open comedo. These are clearly visible; they are black and appear on the surface of the skin. Some people mistakenly believe they are caused by dirt, because of their color, and scrub their faces vigorously - this does not help and may irritate the skin and cause other problems.

Papules - these are small, solid, rounded bumps that rise from the skin. The bumps are often pink.

Pustules - these are pimples full of pus. They are clearly visible on the surface of the skin. The base is red and the pus is on the top.

Nodules - these are morphologically similar (similar structure) to papules, but larger. They can be painful and are embedded deep in the skin.

Cysts - these are clearly visible on the surface of the skin. They are filled with pus and are usually painful. Cysts commonly cause scars. Malay’s call this as “jerawat batu”.

Well, here comes the fun part! After doing a mini research about acne, this info really get my attention and I am more than happy to share it with everyone. Do you know that the appearance of your pimples might tell you some info about your health condition or even habits you need to cut off?? It is more or like a reflexology mapping.. Ya.. I am surprised tooo!

Zones 1 & 3

Forehead - Traditionally, the forehead connects to your digestion. If you break out in this area, improve your elimination by drinking water and eating "whole" foods. You could possibly suffer from a food intolerance (like wheat or gluten).

Zone 2

Center Forehead - The middle of the forehead, between the eyebrows, connects to the liver. Congestion and breakouts could be related to consumption of alcohol and rich foods or a food allergy (like lactose intolerance). Avoid eating late at night and cut back on the wine and cheese.

Zones 4 & 10

Ears - The ears connect to the kidneys. If they swell or feel hot, reduce inflammation by cutting down on the caffeine.

Zones 5 & 9

Cheeks - Your cheeks indicate respiratory issues. Smokers or those who are allergy-prone typically notice fine, broken capillaries and clogged pores. Quit smoking and begin an antihistamine regimen (if you're not on one already) to clear this congested area.

Zones 6 & 8

Eyes - The eyes, like the ears, connect to the kidneys. Diminish dark circles and brighten those peepers by drinking more water and streamlining your digestion.

Zone 7

Nose - Your nose indicates blood pressure. If it becomes red and abnormally inflamed, your blood pressure level is probably higher than usual.

Zone 12

Chin - Chin breakouts are regulated by hormones and tend to freak out before and after your period.

Zones 11 & 13

Corners of the mouth - The corners of your mouth connect to the ovaries, and often break out during menstruation.

Zone 14

Neck Area and Temples - Breakouts in the neck area and temples relate to adrenal stress. Our two adrenal glands, located above our kidneys, secrete vital hormones. If these glands function abnormally, you may feel sluggish and stressed throughout the day, and you could break out. Remember, the skin on your neck is just as important as your face, don't forget to take care of it!

Where do you normally get a breakouts? I normally get breakout near my chin and my cheeks. As you know I am currently trying out Acpuris and will share more about it during my 3rd and final post. Stay tune ya!! You may also check out my first post you may do so by clicking here

Just in case you want ot know more about the cost of the products, 1) Cleanser RM 113  2)Toner RM 159 3) Moisturizer RM 159  4) Sebum Control RM 149 and 5) Spot Corrector RM 113. The whole set costing around RM 693

Ms Rosy Tea Party with L'Oreal Paris and Beauty Bloggers from The Butterfly Projects

Sep 17, 2013

If you are on my fb page and The Butterfly Projects fb page, you might know that 20 lucky bloggers from The Butterfly Projects were specially invited to attend Ms Rosy Tea Party with L'Oreal Paris. The event was held at such an “angelic” restaurant Angelic Tea & Scone House, Plaza Damas. Have you been to Angelic Tea scone house before? So cantik and sweet the atmosphere, really2 suits the tea party theme! P/s: They served vegetarian tea sets and their green curry mushrooms is just heavenly.

Lets get back to the fun part! The event was held last Saturday on the 14th September, 2013 and L'Oreal Paris Malaysia is just super awesome by collaborating with The Butterfly Project - Beauty Bloggers to host the Miss Rosy Tea Party. During the tea party Ms Rosy shared her secret to achieve fairness with a hint of rosy glow over yummy tea party! Not just that we were also given a chance to know a lil bit more about Ms.Rosy

Thats our mama-san Tammy, me and Caroline! (Thanks bagi pinjam your amazing hair curler on that day ya Caroline)

Here we have (standing from the left) Mai Sarah, Chouliyn, Jeniffer, Issabel and (sitting from the left) Bendan and Jean.

Happy faces here! Jenniffer, Choulyin, Ayna (one of TBP SWAT Team) and Edazz.

Thank you to L’Oreal Team for the Product sharing session. Want to know what’s the beauty secret behind the our lovely Ms. Rosy?? Well, stay tune, as I’ll be sharing about it in another post!

During the session, Nala @ Farisha was surprised with a birthday song!! It happened to be her birthday and she is so nice and willing to spend her birthday afternoon with all of us. FYI, Nala is one of the girl behind TBP Paparazzi team.

We were pampered with make up stations, photo booths ( I love their moustache props!)  , DIY headband making ( I saw many bloggers having fun creating their personalised DIY headband, clips and head gear) and have their caricatures drawn (just like in Paris.. weee!) . Sabrina is doing a great job at making the headgear, even mama-san and few other bloggers “assigned” her to do one for them.. hehe She is just so creative!

Last but not least, great thanks to L’Oreal Team for bringing in a very talented caricatures artist for the evening!
