Kenko’s Fish Spa Pavillion with TBP and Worthy Book
Olla ladies! today I would like to share with you my experience having my fish spa session with The Butterfly Project and fellow bloggers. I mentioned about The Butterfly Project for more than a million times in my blog by now (yes, I love them that much!) Great thanks to Tammy ( I bet you know already that she is the founder) for believing in me to be TBP’s community manager, I tried my very best to do my task even if it is on voluntary basis. Yes, do you know that the whole team for this community even Tammy, is doing all these on voluntary basis?
The whole team believe that happiness have a boomerang effect, the more joy and happiness you throw out to the world…. The more it will come back to you! just like a boomerang. Which is why we dont mind doing it for “grantis” as it bring us so much happiness that money cant buy! We were rewarded with endless laughter, friendship, sisterhood and trust.
All of us like many others out there have to make a living and pay the bills too, so just incase you are wondering, Ayna (The Big Sister for Caterpillar Bloggers) she work a 9-5 job in a government sector, Caroline (TBP Twitternista ) she work for KPOP Social Content Online Media ( yes, you want to know anything juicy in the KPOP world? she is the best person to get in touch with!), Tammy (Our mamasan) she is basically an Octopus (in my opinion, please dont “lepuk” me if you happen to read this Tammy hahahaha) with so many hands. She does so many things and sometime I do wonder when does she sleep. Nala (our paparazi she do our videos and snap beautiful pictures for TBP) she is currently busy dizzy with her practical and she is also a make up artist. Me? I work in an online retail company known as eBay Malaysia as their Office Manager.
Above all, TBP bring us together and we are all bloggers at heart who LOVE beauty and pampering stuff. I have a splendid time knowing the ladies and soooo grateful that our friendship grew each day. This is exactly what we want you to have as well, by bringing activities for you to participate. Apart from giving you opportunity to join a tailored activity and by providing you with materials for blog write up, we also hope that you meet new friends built beautiful friendship and enjoy sisterhood.
Well, lets talk about another fun activities that we had last weekend. Congrats to 50 bloggers that have been shortlisted for this activity. We received so many applications ( we hope that we can bring everyone!) dont worry we going to have more activities line up and please dont be dis-hearted if you are not selected this time around. Next session your name might be in the list!
On that day, we have 2 session the first one starts at 1pm and the next one is at 1.30pm. Check out the ladies having fun at the event. We heard giggles and screams on that day LOL I bet all the fishes were happy too since they have such a fun company!
Tammy, Ayna and me were the last batch to have out feet kissed by the fishes! We had our session after the event. I tried fish spa before, last time it was such a hype that obviously I cant help but to try out. The thing is, after all this time.. it still gave me those “funny” feeling. I dont know if this might help but if I ever need to give out tips it would be, go for smaller fish first. Dont just put your feet into the big fish pond. Orang cakap “start small”, okay then put your “tumit” in first. The back area of your feet is more thicker so you wont feel it that much. Just put in slowly, as you feel more comfortable indulge and go in for more. When ever you cant stand the ticklish feeling, dont scream ( it wont help) all you need to do is just slowly move your feet around in the water. The fishes will dispersed around (when you move your feet) and come back for more slowly. This way you will be able to control the amount of fishes you want to hang out at your feet. After awhile you get used to the feeling and it is kinda enjoyable at the same time.
At Kenko’s Spa, before you dip in your feet, all you need to do is to wash your feet (to make sure the fishes does not pengsan with the smell.. hahaha just kidding) and spray some enzyme. Gosh, a lady asked me whats the purpose to spray the enzyme but I forgot to ask the staff. Do you know by any chance? Mind to share?
Fun Facts, Do you know that the garra rufa fish were discovered in the early 1800’s? They were discovered in Jordan, Orontos, and Tigris-Euphrates river basins, coastal rivers in southern Turkey and northern Syria. They are unique fish that can live in hostile environments of such warm waters. They hide in and adhere by suction to stones and vegetation with their ventral crescent-shaped mouths and are bottom dwellers. Garra rufa fish are harmless and toothless. Yes, your read it correctly. they are toothless!
