NARS POWDER FOUNDATION SPF 12 PA+++ (Review)
Olla everyone!
Here comes another NARS product review.. Peewit.. Today I am going to share with you my 2 pennies worth of opinions towards POWDER FOUNDATION SPF 12 PA+++ by NARS. I have been testing for few weeks and lets check it out up close.
Lets look at the packaging. It is in rectangular shape. I personally prefer my compact to be in rectangular shape instead of round. The main reason is, whenever I put it in my make up bag it have lesser tendency to roll around and this helps to reduce the possibilities of cracked powder n stuff. Well, it is just a personal preference.
Every girl who has had a NARS item for long enough will know that the sleek, rubberized NARS packaging will eventually become a lil bit of a mess. NARS, of course, is not the only brand to use such rubberized packaging. After all, if it looks cool and felt nice when you touch it.
P/s : No worries, here is a tip.. All you need to do to make it cute n look like new again is to dampen half a microfiber cloth, wipe it down, and then polish it up with the dry side. Viola, clean compact!
To be frank, I don't like to apply with the accompanying latex sponge, as I'm a brush girl at heart. As for the sake of reviewing I decided to utilise the sponge. For the sponge compartment, I do have to agree it is abit bulky but I do not prefer powder foundations that don't have a separator between the sponge and the product. I found it that the seperator helps to keep it more hygienic. So, I dabbed it with the latex sponge which feels abit chalky to the hand, I hope I explain this right.. but you know those squeaky feeling? yes that is how the latex sponge feels like. The good thing is I found that its flexibility lets you get into areas like around my nose.
The texture, oh my, it was just FAB! I've never felt such a smooth powder in my life. I just couldn't stop touching my face. (PERASAN NYA)
Final verdict? This is a very natural looking, sheer coverage powder foundation. Use a dense brush for more coverage if you would like to. I found out that because of it's light coverage it goes on smooth, not too thick and leaves you looking very natural. I apply it in layers until I reach a level that I am comfortable with. I would recommend this for those who prefer natural look that’s never flat or heavy. Ehem…..for and added bonus, It contains SPF 12.
By the way my shade is in PUNJAB (Medium 1). This product currently retailed at RM 170 for 12g and you may grab it at NARS outlet. For more info do check out http://www.narscosmetics.com/.
