NARS PURE RADIANT TINTED MOISTURIZER SPF 30/PA+++ (Review)
As promised last week, today I am going to share with you about another NARS products that I am currently testing out. Today I am going to write about PURE RADIANT TINTED MOISTURIZER SPF 30/PA+++ by NARS. I must say it is a splendid journey indeed! Before I discuss further, do you know what’s the different between foundation and tinted moisturizer?
While they are similar, they are not identical. The amount of colour pigment used in tinted moisturizer is usually less than foundation. Also, tinted moisturizers appear to have more humectants, so they should hydrate your skin better. But overall, they both are basically delivery vehicles for skin-tinting pigments. Finally, there is a wide variety of consistencies and product aesthetics among both foundations and tinted moisturizers. That is really a case of personal preference and what feels best to you but is not necessarily related to product efficacy.
Tinted moisturizers are usually best for women with dry skin and women that don't need quite as much coverage. Foundations usually work best for women with oily skin (look for oil-free versions) and women that need a bit more coverage. However, you may find that a foundation from one brand provides the same coverage as a tinted moisturizer from another brand. This is really a case of experimenting with both products to see what feels and works best for you. Unfortunately, there is no magic answer that will work for everybody. However, you certainly don't need to use both products at the same time since they function so similarly! But if you do wanted more heavier coverage then no harm going for both.
As we all know NARS have a brilliant range of foundations with shades to suit pretty much any skin tone. Currently there are 11 beautiful shades for this range and mine is ST.MORITZ (Medium 1). Sounds familiar? Just a fun fact, ST.MORITZ is located in Switzerland and it has most expensive ski resorts in the world. I never get a chance to go to ST.MORITZ yet as I don’t know (never) how to play ski and I am not rich enough (yet) to go there.. hahaha.. so using this tinted moisturizer is the closest I could go for at this moment.
The first moment, when I squeeze the tinted moisturizer out, I cant help but to detect the “citrusy” smell. I kinda like it and I also like that it absorb and blend so well with my skin. As said earlier, tinted moisturizer is giving minimum to medium coverage. Depends on your current skin condition and what kind of look you are looking for. As for me, I only wear minimum make up where ever I go out to work on daily basis. So, by having this tinted moisturizer it helps as I don’t need to apply few other products compared to if I am using foundation n concealer.
For daily office look, I’ll go for something more subtle and lesser steps. All I need, is lil bit of the tinted mositurizer and lil bit of face powder to set it and there you go my skin is ready for light make up like mascara, blusher and lip gloss.
Final verdict? It's great for those days when you just don't feel like wearing a lot of makeup plus it's luminous without being too greasy looking. Did I mentioned the sheer finish made my pores less visible too?
This product currently retailed at RM 155 for 50ml and you may grab it at NARS outlet. For more info do check out http://www.narscosmetics.com/
