Tioman Island Review 2012
Travelled as a couple with my husband, this is our second trip to Tioman Island.. We love it even more now!!
This time around we decided to stay for 5 days and 4 nights. From KL we took a bus at TBS ( Tasik Selatan, KL). We took the last bus from Transasional which departing around 11.30pm and arrived around 4:30am in the morning. You could book online for your bus tickets, it is very convenient and only costing RM 30 per person.
So in the morning, we just hang out at the jetty. The earliest ferry took of at 7.30am (also depending on the tide) So the ferry took around 2 hours journey. If you are sea sick, you may hangout at the deck (outside to get some fresh air). Luckily both of us do not have this problem :) But we just love to hang out and enjoy the scenery and smell or the sea plus the fresh air. The ferry will cost you RM35 per person for 1 way.
Once arrived, we go and have out lunch at the jetty food court. Believe it or not it only cost us RM8 for two persons. We had a plate of rice + fish + vege + plain water, my hubby had rice + chicken + vege and ice tea.
We check in arounf 12.30pm ( Resort owner is kind enough to let us check in early) the check in time is at 2pm. We stayed in Swiss Cottage, located at Kg. Tekek. We took the fan terrance and it only cost us RM100 per night. For the previous trip, we took the bungalow which cost us RM180 per night. So we decied to down grade this time and spend more nights instead. Very nice homely place, run by Stella and her husband Richard. They are such a lovely couple :) They maintained the place with the help or their two workers Auntie Fauziah and her husband Pakcik Suparman. The room is nice cleane hot water and it very brezzie at night so you dont really need the air cond. You may enjoy the fresh sea air! They have 16 cats in such a big compound :) a very nice wonderful feeling lingered into my heart when I arrived. We were invited for a birthday dinner that night. It was makcik Fauziah and Pakcik birthday that night. We felt so welcome by them :) plus Stella can really cook!
The next day, we just laze around in the morning. Had our morning walk by the beach ( we end up doing it every morning there). Such a beautiful scenery and very calming experience. Towards noon, we go and meet abg Sham ( the owner of Tioman Cabana) and go for island hoping + snokelling trip with his speed boat. It only cost us RM110 per person.
We went snokelling at Renggis Island, Bakau, Coral Island and few other places.
Basically at night, we hang out at Tioman Cabana, a veyr nice coy place with pirate theme. The bar is nice since it is facing the sea and the food is yummy! Highly recomended hang out place in Tioman at night :) Abg Sham + Dann + Chod runs the place :) They are awesomely cool bunch of guys!
So, long story short... we went back by taking flight from Berjaya Air (if you booked during promo time it will only cost RM168 per person). We decided to took the flight back, since after vacation you'll be tired and just want to arrived early :) it took only 45 minutes before we arrived in Subang Airport :)
SO enjoy the pictures!!
