GUCCI BAMBOO Fragrance Review

Do you know that Bamboo able to flourishes in extreme conditions. Apart that Bamboo able to withstand a hurrican’s force it also helps mitigate water pollution due to its high nitrogen consumption. It also able to generates up to 35% more oxygen then equivalent stand of trees. These are some of the many reason Gucci decided to came up with Gucci Bamboo.

The modern Gucci woman shares bamboo’s characteristics. She balances strength and confidence with her innate femininity. She bends yet she does not break. Like bamboo, she is full of vitality, she is adaptable, and she faces life’s changes with ease. She is an alluring mix of many sides.

If you follow GUCCI then you might have noticed that this fragrance is actually derived from their famous GUCCI Bamboo Handbags collections. In fact, the iconic GUCCI bamboo handles for handbag first appeared, World War II in 1947. The bamboo handles were so interesting and distinctive that the bags became an instant hit, sticking around well past the end of the war to be carried by some of the biggest celebrities and tastemakers of the 1950s and 60s.

 

Move forward to current time, we now have GUCCI Bamboo fragrance.

 

The one I am holding in the picture is 50ml version. If you can see the box is in light pink shade that represent the feminine side of a woman. The strong elegant GUCCI logo in silver match the overall personality of the perfume.

 

Look at the bottle. So stunning. It comes in a diamond shape glass bottle with a silver cap that replicate bamboo. After all it is GUCCI Bamboo. I personally like the classy vibe it gave to my vanity table.  

 

As for the smell, it is more towards floral yet woody. It greet you with citrusy smell of bergamot. It also comes with the exotic floral heart of ylang-ylang, Casablanca lily and orange blossom. The woody notes comes from sandalwood, Tahitian vanilla and amber were used for the base.

Personally, I would wear this perfume for an important corporate meeting or a date night out with my hubby. Because of the feminine yet empowering scent, it gave the sense of confidence.
