Salam Ramadhan and Olla everyone!

I have been wanting to write a post about our favourite Halal Shop in Chiang Mai. Why? Because we been missing their food ever since we come back to KL. This place totally deserved a blogpost.

In end of Apr 2015, our lil family have 7D6N trip to Chiang Mai Thailand and it have been the most amazing trip we had so far. First of all because of the amazing food thailand got to offer. hehehe To be honest, we are kinda “prepared” to encounter with difficulties to find halal food. All thanks to our Bangkok Trip hahaa

This time around when I went to Chiang Mai, I actually brought over my magic cooker and some rice just incase we encounter the same experience like Bangkok. The best part? We totally forgot to pack the metal container for the magic cooker and have to use ceramic mug and aluminium foil to cook instead. hahahahaha We actually realised it when we already on the plane. Too late to run back home to bring it huh? LOL Anyway, it have been very useful that we managed to cook Sofea’s food using it. We made a fish porridge for her.. nyum nyum!

We are actually love our hotel location very2 much because it is located at Changklan Road. It makes it so much easier to locate halal food. Also did some research on where to eat as we checked in to our hotel. We tried to walk to locate nearest halal shop. It is not that easy k? We went to Chiang Mai during their hot season and the temperature during our stay varies form 38-46C. So, taking a walk with an infant under the hot son could be quite challenging. Lucky for us we got an umbrella yippieee yeay!

This is when we found Box Shop it is located on the Changklan Road. If you are  walking from the Anusarn Market location just go straight towards the Royal Princess Hotel and walk straight ahead. Or you may just take a tuk tuk and get them to send you to 185/6 Changklan Road.

This shop is actually more like a coffee place that serve yummy hot dish as well. The price is slightly more compared if you go to other local’s hawkers. We find it very acceptable and resonable because the restaurant is air- conditioned (we really grateful that time place have air-cond as the sun is blazing generously beside the road) and the food they served is just amazing.

Check out our Shrimp Tom Yam above. So sedap! Can still remember how it tasted like. The fish is so fresh and juicy. The soup have a nice asian twist aroma. Just soooo satisfying. The portion is good as well. Two adults could share this happily. Cost : 95 bath

Next we have this Sour Soup with Shrimp. Have you eaten a flower in your soup? We have! haha.. It is actually our first time trying it this dish. Never come accross this dish before in my life. I dont even know the name of the flower there. The verdict? This is one of the reason we wanted to come back for more! hahaha This dish is served with crispy fish fillet on the side. Yummy! Cost : cant recall but definately worth every penny.

You should not leave Chiang Mai without trying out their Fried Chicken with Cashew Nut. Even if you walk around Chiang Mai’s gift shop you can easily spot they have cashew nut every where. We got curious and end up trying out this yummy dish. Cost : 55 bath

Did a video as well.Do check out below and while you are at it, don't forget to subscribe to my channel. (sempat tu iklan hahaha)

We like this place so much that we actually went to this place few times during our stay. The owner is a very nice lady and her staff are super friendly as well. They could communicate well in English. Most important they serve Halal and clean food in a comfy environment. Wanna see what else we tried? check out my insta below ( and please like and follow me… iklan lagi la alang2 kan? hahahahahaha)

It is like food festival here in thailand :)

** This is my personal trip. All Goods and Services was paid with our hard-earned money. As usual, I will test and review products or services regardless of whether they have been sent to me or not with honesty. Unless stated so in the post or marked with an asterisk, all products featured on this blog have been bought with my own hard-earned pennies. I started this blog to give my two pennies worth of thought and have fun along the way and that is exactly how this blog shall remain.
