TOSHIBA Convention launch Smart Technology Products
Nowadays we have smart phone, smart this smart that.. you name it. Aren't we just lucky to be living in this time of age? We get to experience advance technology that helps to make our life so much easier and way more interesting. Technology has affected society and its surroundings in a number of ways. Just like the video below :
Great thanks to my favourite blogger community Nuffnang, for extending me the invite to join this TOSHIBA Convention 2014. It was held at Genting and I am sooo excited.. Honestly, it have been awhile since I breath fresh air (you know la here in PJ haze is everywhere). Well, I would like to share with you about all the “canggih” smart technology that was launched and introduced on that day.
Can you spot anyone you know? Nice setup huh? I like how they arranged us in a round table sitting so we could mingle and have a group chat. Do you know that Toshiba was founded in 1873? We talking about maintaining and developing a company over 141 years. To me that's is just amazing! imagine the amount of experience they have when it comes to developing new appliances and technology.
In 1873, the Ministry of Engineering, responsible for promoting Japan’s modernization, commissioned Hisashige Tanaka to develop telegraphic equipment. He built a factory in Tokyo in 1875 to accommodate the growing government orders. This was Tanaka Seizo-sho (Tanaka Engineering Works), one of the forerunners of Toshiba.
Separately, in 1878, Ichisuke Fujioka developed Japan’s first arc lamp while studying at the Imperial College of Engineering (now the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Tokyo), under the tutelage of visiting professor William Ayrton. At that time, Japan had to import all of its electric lamps. Fujioka established Hakunetsu-sha Co., Ltd. in 1890 to manufacture light bulbs in Japan.
In 1984, the abbreviated form “Toshiba” replaced Tokyo Shibaura Denki as the company’s official name (in English, “Toshiba Corporation” was adopted in 1983).
Economic stagnation in Japan during the 1990s led Toshiba to adopt the “concentration and selection” approach to achieve sustained growth. This involved concentrating resources in sectors with growth potential and new businesses, while selectively promoting growth in mature or declining sectors through reform and restructuring. Toshiba focused resources on semiconductors and expanded the PC business. Look at where they are now!
This is Mr. Hitoshi Katayama and he is the Managing Director of Toshiba Sales & Services Sdn Bhd. On the conference day, he officially launched the Toshiba Convention 2014 that bring in sooo many innovative and smart products which I cant wait to share more about it with all of you.

Right after the Q&A session, each of us were given with a walkie talkie. At first I was like, “huh? this is canggih.. my first time given a walkie talkie for a product tour session”. Check out our fun wefie with our walkie talkie. That is me on the left, then Jessica and the one of the right is Jane. We are in the same group.

So were divided into few groups and then we start our product tour and live demo. It is one of the most interesting and interactive product tour session I have ever joined. The star of the day is the Pro Theatre L9450 series which delivers more natural colour and texture, richer contrast and higher brightness enhanced by Toshiba’s High-brightness panel, wide colour gamut panel, revolutionary Ultra HD 4K technology and CEVO™ 4K image processing engine. Heighten your entertainment experience via the latest version of Android, TV programmes, on-line games (Jq get the chance to play video games on the big TV.. hahaha) and more on a beautiful large screen.
Next we have, the new multi-door refrigerator G-Series. I like how it able to help you to organize your food so much easier. This particular fridge have 10 Led lamps to make it easier to see all your yummy food supplies. I also love the Auto Ice Maker, where you can enjoy ice at anytime and all you need to do is fill the water tank. This refrigerator also come with Twin Cooling System and PICOION technology which helps to preserved your food longer by making it stay fresher for an extended period. Did I mentioned that PICOION technology is totally maintenance-free? Awesome huh?
Moving on, we were also introduced to the Curve S-Series which the Jack from Nuffnang is modelling there in the 3rd picture. Thank you for being such a sport Jack! ( I told you I am going to upload it..hahaha) So ya, this super cute fun coloured fridge inspired by minimalist concept. It comes with Inverter Technology that effectively adjust its power output according to usage and amount of food you have in your fridge. The LED Hybrid Deodorizing System (glass door series) and Hybrid Bio Deodorizing System (steel door series) helps to eliminate bacteria and disintegrate odour molecules to keep your cute refrigerator clean and fresh. Nice and smart, what an awesome combination
Then we have the new air conditioner which comes with DC Hybrid Inverter System and aso equipped with a self cleaning function. No more cleaning the air-cond filter routine!! yeay to that! Other than that, I am also amazed of Magic Drum technology that offered by the new range of Toshiba Washing Machine. Thanks to the dirt-proof coating, you will get to enjoy a cleaner and fresher clothes. I was given the opportunity to write my name on the Magic Drum with a marker pen and with just spraying it with water ( to mimic the cleaning process) it came off almost instantly. Impressed Right before we ended the tour we were also introduced to the New Torneo Vacuum Cleaner which is lightweight (lighter than a regular laptop) and it comes with Ultra-Hygienic Cleaning Performance.
How I wish I can pluck money from tree and buy all the good products to be use at home. It will make my house chores experience so much better. Anyway, I think Toshiba secretly knows this and each of of us were given a DIGITAL RICE COOKER costing around RM 468 to bring home with us. Arigato gozaimas!
They also have lucky draw session and allocated 3 winners. Check out JQ won the Big TV, congrats to all She is one of my group member on that day and I remembered our table screaming and cheering in happiness, when her name was called.
