ANTIPODES LIPSTICK

Assalamualaikum and Olla everyone!

I have quite good news for those who are into natural lifestyle. You can now have more options when it comes to lipstick Yeay! Around couple of weeks ago, Antipodes New Zealand sent me three units of their Moisture-Boost Natural Lipstick. To be completely honest, this is my first encounter with the brand that was originated all the way from New Zealand by Elizabeth Barbalich.

Did some reading. Yes, I like to know more about the brand because I feel that whenever I choose a brand to work with it also means I support what is their mission and what they believe in. That is why I been trying my best to support or try out brand that aligned with what I stand for.

Happy to find out that Antipodes used certified organic skincare with remaining natural ingredients on top of having 100% biodegradable cardboard from sustainable forest. Also found out that they do support lots of WWF Campaigns including effort to save dolphins to choosing supplier that source ingredients from sustainable palm oils that does not do harm to our ecosystems.

They actually have skincare range as well but today I would like to share more about the Moisture-Boost Natural Lipstick. As mentioned earlier the packaging is eco-friendly and it is also vegetarian society approved means it is totally vegan. I was actually shocked when I found out some major brands do contain porcine fats in their ingredients list. As a muslim, it gave me the assurance because it does not contain any animals derivatives.

The black packaging texture kind off reminded me of Nars. Maybe because it have almost similar matte texture but not as rubberized which is great because it does not get as sticky.

When it says moisturizing, I was actually expecting like a balm kind of texture with a hint of colour but actually the colour payoff is not bad at all. You can see it from the swatches I did. The finish is more to satin matte in my opinion. It is not glossy but do have a slight hint of shimmer. I really like the Golden Bay Nectar and Dusky Sound Pink which is the kind of colour I would opt for everyday look. Dragon fruit is more vibrant pink lean towards furschia which I would go for if I am attending event or just want a pop of colour.

The staying power is not bad I tried wearing it for around 6 hours before I go off for lunch it does stay put and do not leave much stain on my mug. I have to also mention that this healthy lipstick shea butter, evening primrose oil, castor seed oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil and vitamin C. I love it when my make up product contain nourishing propeties because it not only makes me look more presentable but it also give some pampering to my skin in this case my lips.

Each lipstick is retailing at RM125 per stick and you can buy them online at Zalora or Lazada. To make it easier you can click here to check out the rest of the colours offered.
