2nd Anniversary and New Menu Food Review - Songket Restaurant Jalan Yap Kwan Seng
Thanks to Evelyn from missyblurkit.com for extending the invite. To be honest this is
my first food review invite (all my other food review are based on personal
encounter and was never an invite) and I must say that I am excited!! This time
around I could bring a plus one and decided to bring my encik hubby to come
along.
When I was first told about Songket Restaurant, the name of
the restaurant itself captured me. Wah.. so classy! So I was imagining yummy
malay cuisine served in stylo way.. When I reached there, I was right.
“ Two years is not a long time but thus far, the restaurant had gain a strong footing in the Malay food market here in Kuala Lumpur as well as abroad as evident from the growing number of bookings particularly for events at the restaurant and for outdoor catering services,” said coowner & chef, Mohd Zamri bin Jemintan.
In conjunction with the 2nd anniversary celebration, the restaurant had launched a special anniversary set menu priced at RM 100++ per person, whereby the customer can get to try all of Songket’s signature dishes. On top of that, for every set menu bought per person, the customer will get a complimentary theme park entrance ticket.“This is our way of saying thank you to our customers especially those who had been with us since day 1,” said Mohd Zamri. How awesome is that right?
The location of Songket Restaurant is at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng
super nearby to KLCC, so if you have friends coming to visit Malaysia you could
definitely bring them to this restaurant to introduce them with Malay delicacy
food J FYI they are having buffet lunch promotion at
only RM25++ I mean like, nowdays very
hard to find buffet costing less than RM50++ per pax right? Plus the food is
good and the ambience is nice too.. If you seat inside the lighting can be abit
dim if you like to see you food clearly while eating them haha.. you could opt
to seat at the Terrance. For me I like dim like it gave the romantic kinda feel
and my pimples can be camouflaged haha
Wanna see what made my tummy happy that night? Check out the yummilicous pictures below.
