Forest Garden Green Tea Cleaning Oil - Review (Onlybeauty.com.my & Nature Republic)

Today I would like to share with all of you regards to Forest Garden Green Tea Cleansing Oil by Nature Republic. Have you tried any of oil based cleansing products before? For me this is my first time. I heard few other brands out there do came out with cleansing oil and even been one of the fav option to clean your face. As for me, I normally opt for gel based or foam based. I am very excited to try out this products and try check out how oil can be use for cleansing.

Do you know that the packaging of this products are designed with braille funtion to facilitate blind com unity? I found that sweet and thoughtful. Thumbs up! Furthermore the packaging box are also made of eco-friendly paper. Another thumbs up!

Getting right down to basics, when cleansing and moisturizing your skin, it is important that you keep in mind that oil dissolves oil.You can imagine the slick, greasy, clogging feeling of smearing sludge all over your face??

If you stay with me and read the rest of this blogpost, that mental image will be replaced by a more comforting, Zen-like image of a relaxing spa massage. Let your curiosity get the better of you, read this, then decide if you should give this method of skin care a go :P The basic concept of this cleansing method is that the oil used to massage your skin will dissolve the oil that has hardened with impurities and found itself stuck in your pores. While massaging it will help to open your pores, allowing the oil to be easily removed.

Tempted?? :P

You can check out below for what is written on the box.

The pump is making your cleansing experience more facilitated. Imagine it it was the normal tube kinda packaging.. wah... then it would be abit hard to squeeze it out since it is oil based. So for me I like the fact that that use pump packaging for this product.
Even-though the bottle is in green tea kind of colour, the liquid is actually colourless.
Obviously it smells like green tea :P

As you can see above in the first picture, I swap few make up on my hand to test out. by sequence lipstick, lip gloss, eye shadow, waterproof mascara and foundation.

Step 1  : Pump and disperse few drops of the Forest Garden Green Tea Cleaning Oil on your dry skin and gently massage it.

Step 2 : You need to wet your hands and gently massage the area until the oil turn into milky colour.

Step 3 : Wash it off with warm water.

My experience : My skin felt silken and not overly greasy (with an oil product it is of course always going to be somewhat oily/greasy) but deeply hydrating, I thoroughly recommend it for anyone who has dry skin as it cleanses without stripping the skin of its natural moisture levels.

Wanna grab it? It is currently retailing at RM 94.90 for 200ml :) worth it!

  1. Thank you so much for taking the time to describe this product. I was having a hard time finding a cleansing oil that was not thick and hard to remove. This version of the Nature Republic Cleansing Oil is so light in texture and does a great job of removing makeup and eye makeup including mascara easily and rinses away clean. My skin is left soft, soothed and hydrated. I have a dry, sensitive skin prone to redness so this product is a god-send. Thank you for introducing me to this wonderful product!
